Rag Dolls - The traditional toy still loved today
We are confident that you won't find a nicer range of traditional rag dolls anywhere. They are manufactured in Sri Lanka under the ethical principles of Fair Trade, which means not only are they beautifully made, they are also produced with love and care. The hair on all the rag dolls is sewn, not glued like others you will see and they have removable clothes, so that they can be dressed in different outfits. We have boy and girl rag dolls, in different sizes from little 9 inch ones, right up to large 22 inch ones. Our ballerina flower girl rag dolls are extremely popular for weddings, as they make a lovely accessory for bridesmaids and flower girls to carry down the aisle or as a gift. This traditional toy is still very much loved today and our rag dolls are suitable from birth, making them a super gift for a baby or for a christening. One thing is certain, they will be treasured and kept and probably passed down through generations.
Hand Puppets, Glove Puppets, Finger Puppets – Why are these old favourites are so relevant today?
We know that everyone loves a glove puppet. They are comical, cute, playful or whatever you want them to be! But not everyone knows what valuable teaching and communication aids they are. We have all kinds of glove puppets, ranging from tiny little mouse finger puppets up to our large mummy tawny owl glove puppet with her babies. Whichever one you choose, you can be sure that it will provide hours of amusement. We sell lots of our glove puppets to playgroups leaders and teachers, who know that story time will be greatly enhanced by these puppets. Our rabbit in a lettuce glove puppet for instance, hides away inside his lettuce until you make him pop up! Children really love this and will actually talk directly to the rabbit! In fact children will often communicate with your puppet if they are sad about something and don't want to tell an adult. We also have finger puppet story sets and lots of glove puppets, all of which are very realistic looking animals including elephants, giraffes, foxes and crocodiles – in fact something for everyone!
