Sprogs Children's Shop is based in the Heart of The Cotswolds in the small historic town of Winchcombe, best known for Sudeley Castle, reputed to be the most romantic castle in the country, with strong links to Henry the Eighth.
We are located on the High Street, amongst lots of unique and interesting shops. A day in Winchcombe simply must include a visit to Juri's Teashop, located directly opposite Sprogs and winners of the UK's Teashop Of The Year 2008! Just along the street from us is the Sweetbox selling a range of good old fashioned sweets, The Crafty Cook, a shop selling beautuful kitchen related gifts and just around the corner is Food Fanatics, where you will find coffee and food treats that are just delicious.
There is ample parking in Winchcombe, some of which is even free! On Abbey Terrace, just a couple of minutes walk from Sprogs you can park for free for 2 hours.
At Sprogs you will find ranges of traditional and wooden toys, (some of which you may not have seen since childhood)! These include rag dolls, puppets, tin toys, spinning tops and jack in the box.
Our clothes range from Newborn up to Age 10 and our aim is to find unusual, quality items at affordable prices. We like to find things that are different from the high street and we have lots of ideas for gifts as well as nice everyday basics. We always do our best to make sure that our suppliers are people who conform to high standards and where possible have ethical policies in place.
We also sell personalised gifts, including books and name plaques, many of which are Fairtrade or ethically sourced. We are particularly proud of the fact that when we opened Sprogs we were the final business needed in order for Winchcombe to achieve Fairtrade town status.
We want to provide our customers with an enjoyable shopping experience, that is a move away from the high street and is a return to local friendly service. We will always do our best to source an item or at least find out about stock if we don't have it. An example of this is the fact that we stock wellies all year round and we start as small as a baby size 3!
From listening to the feedback that we get from our customers we know that people thoroughly enjoy a visit to the shop, and come back time after time. As our stocks are always changing, it's well worth making regular visits to find that special gift.
Our aim with the website is to enable people to shop with us even if they can't visit in person, and we aim to provide the same level of excellent service that would be experienced in the shop. Whether you shop in person or online, we hope that it is a very enjoyable experience and we welcome any feedback that you would like to give.
We welcome telephone and email enquiries and will do our best to answer questions or provide further measurements etc. before you make your purchase.
